This site uses no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. Fonts, icons and the 3D viewer are served from this site itself, so your browser does not contact Google or any other third party while you read it.

Hosting and server logs
When you open a page, the hosting provider automatically processes the data your browser sends: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is a working, secure website.
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which may process this data outside the EU. Their privacy policy explains how long logs are kept and which safeguards apply to transfers.
Language cookie
On your first visit the site shows the language your browser prefers and remembers the choice in a cookie called “lang”. It contains only “en” or “de”, lasts one year, and is never sent to anyone else. It is needed to provide the language you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it in your browser settings at any time.
Contacting me by email
If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when it concerns a possible job or project, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. My mailbox is provided by Google. I delete emails when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep them.
Links to other sites
Links to GitHub and LinkedIn are plain links. No data is sent to those services unless you click them; after that, their own privacy policies apply.
